米国で42の州・州長官がMeta等を提訴 - 42 States and Attorney General Sued Meta
米国時間10月24日、33の州及び9の司法長官がMeta及びその関係会社に対し、児童の依存性を高めるような製品・サービスの設計を行ったとして、訴訟を提起した。請求原因は、13歳未満の児童から保護者の同意なく個人情報を収集することを禁止する児童オンラインプライバシー保護法の違反なども含まれている。
October 24, 2023 US Time, 33 States and 9 General Attorneys filed a law suit against Meta and affiliates, alleging they deliberately design their products and services that addict children. The lawsuit also refers violation of Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) which prohibits business from collecting personal data from children under 13 without their parents’ consent.
