第３巡回区控訴裁判所がロス・インテリジェンスの中間上訴を認める決定 - Third Circuit Court of Appeals has granted Ross Intelligence’s interlocutory appeal

2025年6月17日、第3巡回区控訴裁判所は、トムソン・ロイター対ロス・インテリジェンスのデラウェア州連邦地方裁判所の決定に対するinterlocutory appeal（中間上訴）を認めた。AIの機械学習とフェアユースの論点に関し控訴審に係属した最初の事案となる。生成AIに関するものではないものの、控訴審の判断も注目される。

On June 17, 2025, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals has granted the interlocutory appeal of the US. District Court of Delaware’s ruling in Thomson Reuters v. Ross Intelligence.

This is the first case pending before an appellate court on the question of fair use for AI training. While it is not related to generative AI, the appellate court’s judgement would also deserve close attention.
